I started as most kids do,  learning to play a guitar at a young age ...I think I was maybe 10-12 years old.  I had a Sears and Roebuck guitar that really hurt my fingers and a Mel Bay guitar book from which I learned the chords.  Later I was given a candy apple red electric guitar my dad had given to his brother as a gift. I played them both until my teen years when I bought a 12 string guitar and started playing with friends. That was the late 60s-early 70s.... then in the early 70s  I joined the Navy and for the next 25 years I laid my guitar down and focused on being a good sailor!  then in 1996 I stated playing again...and found my first love was just as mesmerizing as it had always been.  Playing off and on for a number of years, in 2008 I started a band called CrossRoads in the Panhandle of Florida, and we were a bar band. We played any and every where they would let us, until 2018 when we disbanded. That was a sad day....but it was needed!

Today I play solo and occasionally a duo gig,   Still not looking to get rich or become famous,  just love playing music.

Take it easy....and listen to the story the song tells!
